Anodyne is a top-down action-adventure game in the style of retro 16-bit games such as the Legend of Zelda franchise, but with a much more dreamlike setting and style. It was created by the two-man team of Analgesic Productions, consisting of Sean Hogan and Jonathan Kittaka. The game was released on February 4th, 2013.
Platforms
Anodyne is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux, and is currently available direct from the developer's website, from Desura, from GamersGate. The game has been greenlit on Steam and will eventually be available for purchase there as well.
System Requirements
Generally the only requirement is Adobe AIR 2.6+.
History
Quoted from the developer's website, "Sean began the development of Anodyne in March 2012, and met Jon in late June. As they are both students, they have worked together on Anodyne since, in between summer and academic year responsibilities."

Gameplay and Plot
The game unfolds from a top-down perspective as the player travels through the subconcious dream world of the main character, Young. Along the way Young and the player much solve puzzles, collecting new items and cards to gain access to new areas of Young's dreamworld.
Soundtrack
The 70+ minute sountrack is available with the game in a "premium edition" as well as seperately via Bandcamp. The music was composed and performed by Sean Hogan, one of the developers.
